The Mulberry Wing
Despite being called common in Covell, this one is new one for me.  Maybe it's about location, a product of the new effort at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation. This Black Wedge-Spot (Homophoberia apicosa) came to a black light June 11. Traditionally, this species has been part of the Noctuid subfamily Acontiinae. A newer treatment places it in the new subfamily Condicinae, aligning it with the groundlings and Common Pinkband.
